Langeoog`s Story
Almost 20 years ago German guesthouse Langeoog owner Gerd Kielhorn
had decided to acquire the building and to contribute to the growth
of Unawatuna.
He decided to give his new house the name of his home island Langeoog
which is also owned and managed by Andrea
Kendziora-Kuehn who are both supported by general manager Jayantha
Nagasinghe.
Since the aftermath of the 2004 Tsunami all three of them have
become almost famous in Unawatuna through their massive charity
work which has led to the cleaning of over 2000 wells and a new
fishing hall for the village. They had also organized 30.000 meals
and 70 tons of equipment in cooperation with the Munich Firebrigade.
